Have You Written Your List?

Relationship Goals Clip Art, HD Png Download - kindpng

So Today……Guess What?

IT’S Our 21st Wedding Anniversary Today!

20200408_154922[1]

Thinking over the years, we have come to the realization that everyone is different and nothing will ever change that. People are always going to be Right and Wrong in the things they do or say as an active part of society. People will always feel Anger and Love towards others who they cross paths with in their lifetime. What has to be realized and done is that everyone take responsibility for who they are and own up to their differences and improve themselves accordingly.

Relationships whether individual, friendship, family, couples can always use improvement. I have come up with a post that will make people think twice as to how different people can be. Me and my husband are celebrating 21 years of marriage today and we’ve decided to write a list of the positive and negatives of what we admire and dislike about one another. We’ve exchanged our list with one another and talked about it and realized things about one another that we have overlooked over the years.

Text_Over_Photo1586376352724[1]

Being together for so long and the fights, battles and making a way back to one another has just made us stronger individuals for it. We are committed to working on our faults individually and spend the rest of our lives appreciating each other’s essence.

April 9, 1999 & April 9, 2020

We want to share with you guys our list because we think that it is important to make ourselves vulnerable to compliments as well as criticism. We are trying to grow in any way possible and we take it one day at a time.

This is Mine for Him….

I Love….

  1. He takes care of his children financially and emotionally.
  2. He makes me laugh and is very charming.
  3. He is a great cook.
  4. He is passionate about being successful and helping his family reach their goals.
  5. He gives me compliments about my looks without asking.
  6. He is very considerate and sweet to senior citizens to others.
  7. He is a lover of all animals.
  8. He is loyal and doesn’t hold grudges.

I Do Not Love…..

  1. When he complains about everything from dawn to dusk.
  2. When he is late for everything that is not important to his interest.
  3. When he ask advice about something and then says you’re wrong just to see what you’ll say.
  4. When he doesn’t have trust in anyone including his family.
  5. When he apologizes for behavior that he repeats over and over with no adjustment.
  6. When he is pessimistic about everything in life, nothing but failure before hope.
  7. When he redirects feelings or experiences one has back on himself to get attention.
  8. When he uses his age as an excuse to prove how much smarter he is.

This is His for Me…..

I Love…..

  1. She is organized and detail- oriented.
  2. She is smart, creative and intelligent.
  3. She is independent.
  4. She is funny and has a good sense of humor.
  5. She is giving and unselfish.
  6. She is not materialistic.
  7. She keeps up her physical appearance.
  8. She keeps the house clean.

I Do Not Love….

  1. She stays mad too long periods of time.
  2. She is too quick to levy punishment on kids.
  3. She is uncompromising when you move furniture or rooms to new planograms.
  4. She drives car brakes and accelerator heavy footed.
  5. She always put more stuff in shopping cart at store that wasn’t on list originally.
  6. She won’t commit to specifically scheduled intimacy dates and times but would rather be spontaneous.
  7. She watches too many shows with real life sadness, unhappiness, and despair.
  8. She doesn’t relish, reminisce, talk about things from our family’s 22 year timeline of fun times and vacations enough…the fun past memories are important to me.

Life is Precious…Live It!!

Last year, I wrote a post called Marriage and Relationships Are Like Owning a Business and it talked a lot about how every relationship has to be attentive to and like anything when one doesn’t pay attention to the books or communicate, it all goes haywire and it can end. See link below:

Marriage and Relationships-February 14, 2019

If I had any advice to give to people getting married or are looking for one thing to remember throughout their adventure together is:

“Prepare for the fight of your life. You will have blessings and challenges, look at one another and always remember the first time you fell in love”.

Okay so, that’s it!!

52 Week Blog Challenge- Week 14

My Favorite Book……..

Not many people know this about me but I love murder mysteries!! I am a big fan of reading about murders, watching shows about murders and being apart of even fake murder mysteries. I have never been on a murder mystery weekend but someday I hope too. Some of the murder shows you see on television already let you see who the killer is and they spend the hour figuring out why they did it like Columbo, Monk and even Law and Order sometimes. I would rather try and figure out who did it like on Scooby-Doo, CSI and other crime shows like on Lifetime.

Somy favorite book as a child was Poky Little Puppy but as an adult it was a book I read a year ago called “What Happened to Flynn” by Pat Muir

This book was about a missing man named Flynn who the cops could not find a body for and they enlisted the help of an African-American detective who worked day after day to try and solve the case. This book was definitely a page turner and one of the greatest mysteries I’ve read so far. You can purchase this book on Amazon.

That’s all I got for you today. Thank you for reading my blog posts and don’t forget to like, comment and subscribe!!

Book Review #1:Rachel Hollis

Hey hey guys, I am doing something a little bit different these coming months where I am going to introduce you to my world of reading. Now, I will admit, I have not read a book all the way through since 50 Shades of Grey Part 1 came out but I have always wanted to read interesting works by other writers. The book I am going to review this month is a book written by a great women who loves to help other women get out of their way and see what the potential that they already have. Growing from tragedy and being able to be successful in life with some bumps along the way is real-life for her and she wants you to know-ITs Normal! Introducing a lady I highly respect for her courage and empowerment of other: Rachel Hollis

I read this book from cover to cover and was amazed at the similiarities we have. I thought I was the only one thinking and going through it. For those of you who do not know who Rachel Hollis is, she is a Mom of 3 boys and a 1 girl, wife to Dave Hollis and founder of a lifestyle website TheChicSite.com and Ceo of her own Media company. She has alot of followers online via instagram, facebook, youtube etc. She is a woman who likes to tell it like it is, she encourages, enlightens and works to help others acheive the same sense of confidence she exudes throughout everything she does with the help of God.

I am going to review this book in 4 parts:

  • Why did I pick this book to read?
  • What part of the book, really hit home for me: (ex. made me cry or have a aha moment)?
  • What is one thing I took away from the book that I will change in my life?
  • How would I rate this book out of 5 stars?

Rachel Hollis: Girl, Wash Your Face

  • I picked this book because it came highly recommended online. I was curious as to what washing my face meant so I said this might be a great book just by the title, so I bought it. I never realized when I opened it, I would never be able to put it down. It spoke to me so well. Everything, well almost everything, was so similiar to my life I couldn’t believe that this nice young lady had gone through all that and still managed to be a great women waking up everyday helping people with her wisdom and lending a helping hand.
  • A part in the book that really hit home for me was Chapter 15: I Will Never Get Past This- when she talked about her family. Not being as close as she wanted to be after the tragedy just trying to salvage what was left of her relationships and picking up the peices and moving forward in church and counseling, which is always the best medicine. I cried through the whole chapter.
  • One thing she stressed so much in her book about is being happy with who you are. It doesnt matter what you didnt accomplish or who hurt you in your past, you are responsible for your own happiness. Never let others believe you are never good enough to try new things or pick up where you left off with years ago. Always try to be you and be happy for you not anyone else. I realized that in trying to make others happy all at once, I have made myself unhappy. I have decided to run away from toxic or negative things and let others be unhappy by themselves and take care of me first. Be there after I am taken care of then console others.
  • 5- star rating from me for original content, very personable and uplifting!

Looking forward to reading her other book:

Girl, Stop Apoligizing

Ordered my copy from Barnes and Nobles today and will start reading after my 2nd book which is from a new first time author who writes about how the word of God influences your life processes everyday. Click link below to purchase Marcus Myrick’s

20190711_172035

It is the one -year anniversary of MMMoffamilyentertainment and we have had a phenomenal year!! I started this blog last September as a outlet to help me talk about all the exciting things my family does and it has turned into something so much more!! I want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of my blog whether you were there from the beginning or you became a big fan recently. I have many goals for this blog and I want to continue making an effort to grow this blog in the coming years. Here are some of the highlights from this years blog….

31 Day Challenge-Day 31

Things that can probably drive a person crazy but I try to hide about myself….let’s get started

  1. I grind my teeth all the time. I believe it is a nervous tick I have, as a result my jaw is always hurting.
  2. I like to sleep on my stomach because I don’t like looking at the ceiling. For some reason, the ceiling creeps me out.
  3. I like to keep the closet door closed because I think there is something living in my closet.
  4. I do not like my food cold at all. My meal has to be steaming and the cold stuff has to be the right temperature.
  5. I walk through my house in the dark and hate to turn on lights. I figure if there is a power outage, I am prepared.
  6. If I have a light on, it stays on and my family goes behind me and turns them off.

Well, I hope you enjoyed learning all about me…wait till next month when I dig just a little deeper!!

  3. Making everyday a celebration of living. I want my family to see me happy everyday and enjoying life. I want my kids to remember me having fun with friends.having-fun-free-clipart-13
  4. Getting an RV and going on a road trip with the family. The last time we went the five of us on a trip we drove in a car 7 hours from Florida to South Carolina. We didn’t like the drive there but the trip was one to remember. I am thinking if we had a bigger vehicle we will be good.

What makes me feel better and has never failed?

MUSIC

music-note-clip-art-21

I love the sound of music. I love all different genres. I am a fan of how music can soothe the soul. If I want to escape within myself it is my way to solitude. Music lowers my blood pressure, it balances my mood and it is very therapeutic for my disabilities and it also eases my anxiety.

31 Day Challenge-Day 21

Text_Over_Photo1565902021883[1]

Day 21…hmmm…something I miss. This I had to think about a bit because there are a lot of things I miss but If I were to look at the last 25 years, I’ m looking at my childhood and how things were when I was a teenager. I can remember the words…”Pounding the Pavement”

  1. Job Market has changed dramatically. Newspaper and flyer ads on bulletin boards. It used to be that you walk from employer to employer to fill out job applications and meet face to face with people who were your boss…now…fill out an application online and wait for talent acquisition to email, then first interviewer to contact for interview then you interview with someone else who may or may not be your boss…keep your application on file. This application process is convenient if you have a computer or cell phone but for others it creates a lot of eliminated candidates. My daughter is 16 now and she is doing it the old-fashioned way and she has had 2 interviews so far. Personal connection is lost between employer and candidate online.

1526116

2. Being able to get The News only on television. It seems like every time I turn around, I am unable to shield myself from all the bad news and anxieties of this world. I really believe that as the world gets worse with global warming, bombings and lack of respect for the people who want to wake up every morning and live their life, we will never see the light of day. I really don’t care for politics, I don’t like hearing about how much worse the people who run our government are doing. I am so tired of people not being able to leave their homes because they are afraid and with this happening…the rise in mental health issues and sicknesses allows for government and drug companies to make more money. It sucks!! Can we just go back to having 6pm and 11 pm news only and cartoons with great movies in between?

Related image

3. Last but not least…Courtships. Why is it every time I turn the television on I see teen pregnancy shows or couples divorcing after 1 year. I have been married 20 years and I have seen it all. These days it seems like it is harder to get a mate and people are just settling with the first person that looks their way. While they are looking, it seems there is the rush to procreate and have no commitments. What has happened to asking a girl out, taking her on many dates, getting know each other and then talking about plans to get married then have a family….everything is all backwards and twisted now!! Maybe I am old-fashioned but I think there wouldn’t be confusion if we were made to only be attracted to who we are supposed to be with and everyone else look like aliens…lol.

That’s all I got for you until next time….stay tuned for tomorrow for Day 21.
